Brookville's annual Laurel Festival and Art in the Park were a wonderful success!  We participated in the Sidewalk Sales during Laurel Festival by giving away Emergency Preparedness Brochures, demonstrating what folks can do to be prepared.  Ended the event with an Emergency Preparedness Basket giveaway.  Art in the Park was another fun event.  Loved seeing everyone on such a beautiful day the kids enjoyed hand & foot hopscotch coloring pages and other activities.

On Monday September 9, 2019 I was privileged to attend the Chamber of Business and Industry Centre County's luncheon.  The 3 Centre County Commisioners addressed the growth of the Centre area.  Attendees heard about county activities, initiatives, and heard an update on county affairs from county commissioners Mark Higgins, Chairman Michael Pipe, & Steve Dershem.  Approximately 225 individuals attended and had the opportunity to learn the state of affairs and had opportunities to ask questions. I distributed information to attendees on emergency preparedness since September has been declared Emergency Preparedness Month.

This week I volunteered at the Chamber of Business and Industry Centre County (CBICC) annual golf outing.  I was in charge of the "watering hole" at tee 14 along with Dustin Taylor of the State College Spikes .  I dubbed it the Party Palace.  The weather was beautiful and the golfers were a lot of fun.  The CBICC is the champion of economic development and business growth in Centre County, and with close to 1,000 members, the largest organization representing businesses throughout central Pennsylvania.  SERVPRO is proud to be a part of this great organization!

Lunch was provided for the whole office at St Marys Insurance in St Marys, PA sponsored by SERVPRO of Clarion Forest and Jefferson Counties. Emergency Preparedness was the topic of the day a Word Search puzzle added to the learning experience. Lunch and Learn doesn't have to be boring!  Sub sandwiches and homemade cookies were the were a big hit!  With so much rainy weather coupled with mold it's important for everyone to know how to prepare for an emergency.

There was a very large turn out for the Expo held at the Monroeville Convention Center. SERVPRO was one of the sponsors for the event.  It was a great opportunity to thank those who put their lives on the line for us!  This event has been going on for 32 years and this is the biggest one yet! There were 300 exhibits, training opportunities for the first responders, home cooked meals, kids activities and lots of time for networking!
